ASPID

- Progressive/Technical Thrash Metal (Russia)

A diamond in the rough. Aspid existed only for a few short years in the early 1990s, their one and only recording entitled 'Krovoyziliyanie' (Extravasation in English) - an epic, theatrical exercise in progressive thrash excellence. Great musicianship, fantastic production and intelligent songwriting combined to create a killer album which was released in very limited numbers on vinyl, then later on tape. Unfortunately, Aspid dissolved shortly after the album's release and plunged into absolute obscurity. Stigmartyr Records in conjunction with ant[ICON] Laboratories were granted permission to reissue the long lost gem for the world to finally hear. 'Extravasation' was re-released in November 2007.

EXORDIUM MORS

- Technical Black Metal (New Zealand)

Since forming in early 2004, New Zealand's frenetic Black Metal outfit Exordium Mors have crafted a unique sound for themselves, spearheaded by blistering technical guitar riffs which lay the unstable foundation for their aggressive twist on Black Metal. Complex, dynamic and maniacal. 'Serva Ad Mors' was recorded early 2007 and released on CD with foldout poster/booklet through Stigmartyr Records in November 2007.
