ASPID - 'Extravasation'
(Аспид Кровоизлияние)
'Extravasation' - a long lost Thrash gem. Russia's Aspid were only together as a band for a few short years in the early 1990s, recording their fantastic debut full-length (entitled 'Кровоизлияние' (or 'Krovoizliianie'), meaning 'Extravasation' in English) in 1992 at a prestigious studio. All the ingredients were there for a very successful career: Musicianship, production, vision, and songwriting as impressive as the abilities of its creators. Unfortunately, the album was released in very small numbers on vinyl, and later, tape, meanwhile Aspid disbanded, resulting in the album and band vanishing from the radar before having a chance to leave a mark.
Stigmartyr Records in conjunction with ant[ICON] Laboratories obtained permission to reissue the album which has been remastered for the CD format. The world now has a chance to hear what they should have 15 years ago.
'Extravasation' is best described as an epic, theatrical exercise in progressive thrash excellence. Leading listeners on a dynamic journey, with constant pace shifts, sterling musicianship, very impressive production, a punishing guitar tone, strong vocal performance and excellent bass-work. 'Extravasation' is a very dramatic record, often feeling like an a-grade thriller. Fans of Progressive/Technical Thrash are especially likely to enjoy the CD.
The 2007 reissue of Aspid's 'Extravasation' includes all 8 original tracks, weighing in at almost 45-minutes and includes the original cover artwork which has been refined and enhanced, in addition to brand new full-colour internal layout which includes a 6 page booklet featuring a band photo, considerable liner notes and more.

EXORDIUM MORS - 'Serva Ad Mors'
Based in New Zealand, Exordium Mors have spent the lead-up to 2007 refining material whilst finding time to hit the live front in preparation for the release of their debut EP which was recorded in January 2007. While Black Metal at heart, 'Serva Ad Mors' takes the aggression and ferocity one comes to expect form the genre and adds a new dimension with torrents of technicality, provided primarily at the hands of the band's six-stringers who deliver a flood of ridiculous riffery which manages to add greatly to the songs.
'Serva Ad Mors' clocks in at 25-minutes, featuring 4 weighty tracks. The release includes a foldout poster booklet which contains album artwork on one side, and all song lyrics etc on the other.
